End of a Good Work Week

Got my 2500 words today to reach 90,000 in the WIP (out of maybe 100,000 -- getting close, that's for certain).  That's three weeks in a row of writing 10,000 words.  I don't think I've ever done that before.  Not sure if this book is any good, but I sure am zipping through it....

Happy weekend, all!

So if you have another good week next week it may be complete... GREAT JOB!! At least the first draft then the rewrite...

Hey didn't you mention before that approx 3/4 way through a book you start second guessing yourself?

And was this the one that you read a portion from at LibertyCon last year?

Looks like ConCarolinas is back on my schedule...As long as nothing else happens...

Thanks for the good thoughts, Wayne. This is not the book I read part of at Liberty. To be honest, I'm not sure what I read -- oh, unless it was the short story that I wrote in this same world. Yeah, that might have been it. Will look forward to seeing you at ConCarolinas.

David,

That's right. I was the short story if I am not mistaken. You did mention that you had other ideas for this world also...

Hopefully see you in a few months...

Well, that makes me jealous. 10,000 words is often a month's work for me...

But I'm glad you're zipping thorugh!

Thanks, my friend. I'm not at all used to going along at this clip. But I'll ride the wave while I can. I want to complete at least two novels in this new project this year. That's the goal. We'll see if I can do it.

Hope you had a good b-day.

Well done. And just for the record -- you don't write crappy books. My 10K a week has had to shift to a rewrite of the first three chapters for certain interested persons. I can't wait to get that done and jump back into the book itself.

Thanks, Jana. Hope the rewrites lead somewhere good!

When you are on a roll, you roll. Good job! I think when a writer is in "the zone" like that, it is evident in the story that they wrote. It's like you can see the world in front of you and all of the interactions within it. So I know you are popping out a winner there, David! *smile*

Thanks for that, Mark. I'm looking forward to finishing it and reading it through to see what I've got.
