A Post About Bad Signing Experiences

With my first signing since the release of The Horsemen's Gambit (Book II of Blood of the Southlands) and the paperback re-release of The Sorcerers' Plague (Book I of Blood of the Southlands) coming up on Friday, today's post is about nightmare booksignings.  It can be found at http://magicalwords.net, the writing blog I share with fellow fantasy authors Faith Hunter, Misty Massey, C.E. Murphy.  Please visit the site and enjoy!

I've nly done one signing, for a school function--I can't deal with the stress. Hope your weekend one will be awesome!

Thanks, Sherwood. This one is local and definitely low stress/high fun.

Interesting. Coincidentally, the thought came to me recently to ask you of any specific humorous anecdotes that you have had in meeting fans. And there it is.

Finished Horseman's last night. Finally (although it only took me two days to read I hadn't started it immediately after I got it).

Excellent segue book. Lark? Hmmmmm... :) The only criticism was that when I finished reading the last chapter I went, "that's it?" :) Not that it ended badly but I was still in the mood to read more of the story...can't please everyone!

Uh, Boise and Chattanooga? Go right to the book reading capitals eh? :)

"Godless, helpless, and clueless?” Yeah, way to win readers south of the Mason-Dixon line... LOL

Actually, the Lon Tobyn Chronicles is my second favorite fantasy series (don't want ya getting a big head) right after Feist's Emprire and ahead of, despite my LJ user name coming from it, Rowling's Harry Potter series. Great stuff.

Thanks for the kind words about LonTobyn. It's funny: I think that the Forelands and Southlands books are much better, but my LonTobyn fans are by far my most enthusiastic. People who liked that series REALLY liked it.

Glad you liked Horsemen's Gambit. Glad as well that you wanted more, even if it isn't available yet....

My first signing ever, when I was a brand new author, was opposite Neil Gaiman.

I rest my case. *g*
