Either the link isn't working or their server moves at a glacial speed.

The link worked fine yesterday and it works fine now. Are you thinking that SF writers can't afford a good web server? :-)

Possible ways to improve your view of Jan 2):

1) You could take your car down and have the local car painter paint the cover and the release date on it and then pick up one of those big, rooftop megaphones and drive around the county announcing that that Obama guy is stealing your thunder.

2) You could go to a t-shirt maker in your town (always good to support the locals) and have the cover and release date put on, say, 1,000 t-shirts (maybe tuxedo t-shirts) and drive up to DC and hand them out in front of the Inaugural Balls (I'm sure the Secret Service wouldn't mind). That way you're sure to get someone with one standing (drunk, probably) in front a CNN/MSNBC/faux camera during the night.

Would that make you happier about Bush/Cheney leaving town? :-)

Who over at Tor knows so little about politics anyway? The inauguration is always on the same day.

From Wiki:

"Until 1937, Inauguration Day was March 4. Since then, Inauguration Day has occurred on January 20 (the 1933 ratification of the Twentieth Amendment changed the start date of the term)."

And the odds were that it would be a Democratic President. Lot of Republicans at Tor then? Knew that your release would steal some most of the Dems thunder? :-)

I like the t-shirt idea very much. But I do think that the secret service would object. I actually know that Tor is full of Democrats (as opposed to Baen, which isn't) but I think this one just fell through the proverbial cracks. It doesn't matter. I'll let Obama have his one day in the limelight....
