Finished!!

Here it is, the final progress bar for Book III of Blood of the Southlands! I finished it today. The first draft, that is. I'll put it away for a while and then read through it again before sending it in to my editor at the end of October. And then there will be revisions and copyedits and all that. But the book is finished.

So, time for me to do my End-Of-The-Book happy dance, and then move on to other things.

By the way, I'm still looking for a title for this book. There's still a Name-the-Book Contest up on my website.  Check it out and help me choose a title for my latest creation.

Congratulations! I can't wait to read it (but the other, first. Yes, yes.)

Thanks, K! But yes, you'll enjoy them more if you read them in sequence.... ;)

Congratulations!

So, is this Happy Dance copyrighted???

Gotta run...watching Obama answer actual questions in an actual press conference while McCain speeds back to DC to avoid going to Mississippi...

Thanks for the congrats. The Happy Dance changes with every book. And I would not want anyone to see me doing it. Ever.

Rock on David! You guessed the wordcount pretty close so early on. Good work! :)

I wish you could name the book, "Cadel's Revenge", but alas I don't think that will fit. *haha*

Thanks, Mark. No, I don't think "Cadel's Revenge" would work. (Isn't Cadel's Revenge what you get if you go to Wethyrn and drink the water....?) Anyway, thanks for the comment.

Congratulations! We use the same word meter! Hee!

Thanks, Fi. I'd never used a word meter before I began this book. I felt so tech savvy the first time I put it in a post. Guess I'm pretty pathetic...

No way --! I really love using mine. It's a very well-done meter. It feels good when it hits The End, doesn't it? ^_^

Many congratulations! Definitely time for The Dance.

It's kinda scary that my most recent book is longer than yours by almost 12K. That troubles me on a number of levels.

As it should. Next thing you know you'll be writing books as long as my early ones -- 210k or so. You can use them to build a house...

Oh, that's so cool!!! Wow! That was a long haul, wasn't it?

My novel apparently actually went into production...so we can both do a happy dance.

Thanks, Jagi. Actually not that long for me. I started it in April, so six months. That's about what I average.

Congrats to you, too. Looking forward to seeing your book in print.

I meant the whole series...not just this book. Sorry, should have made that clearer. ;-)
