Today the Summer 2013 Thieves' Quarry Blog Tour is back at Magical Words, the group blog on the craft and business of writing that I maintain, as David B. Coe, with Faith Hunter, Misty Massey, John Hartness, James Tuck, and Mindy Klasky, among others.  Today's post coincides with the dropping off of my oldest child at college for her freshman year.  So it is called "Grist For the Mill:  Emotion and Creativity," and it is about using personal experience and emotion and memory to strengthen the emotional content of our books and stories.  I hope you enjoy it.  And I hope to see many of you at DragonCon later this week!

HI! My husband and I spoke to you briefly yesterday at Dragon Con but I noticed James Tuck, whom I'd wanted to meet, so we scurried off. You were telling us about some of your books, and I'm trying to track them down, but can't find them! I thought it was something to do with a thief or... I can't remember! Hopefully we'll run across you again on Monday when we have time to come back up to the exhibits, but wanted to let you know we're very interested in talking to you more about your books and finding some copies. Or did I misunderstand and they aren't quite out yet? I see a couple of your fantasy series, but I can't find the series you were telling us about yesterday... Well, track me down, will ya, if you have some time? Would love to chat. We'll try to find you again before the end of the con, too.
