An Odd Post About Word Processors

Today’s post can be found at http://magicalwords.net, the group blog on the business and craft of writing fantasy that I maintain with fellow authors Faith Hunter, Misty Massey, A.J. Hartley, Stuart Jaffe, and Edmund Schubert, among others. The post is called “A Very Personal Post About Word Processing” and it’s . . . well, I was having some fun. I hope you enjoy it.

MS Word...think I've been using it since I moved from a Commodore to a Windows 3.0 PC. Works for what I need it to do but its 'helpful' nature is quite often a bit too 'helpful'.

On the story: I'm hoping with the way you 'got around' that you used protection. They sell it in plastic wrappers at the store and sometimes, because they're now small and easy to grab and run, they have them behind the counter and you have to ask the salesperson to get you one... backup ... a hard disk is a terrible thing to waste.

Was with you until you said you finally found happiness with Nisis but when she wasn't available and you were given the 'opportunity' to do so, you went back for a moment with MS Word. And it's really no good to reminisce about something you had in college. They're different now. You're different now. Let it go already!

Nice piece, David.
